Unlike many other RV rental companies, Great Adventures RVs tries to include just about everything you would need for your camping adventure, outside of your food and clothes, at NO additional charge. This includes complete kitchen amenities, camping chairs, outdoor stove, lanterns, marshmallow roasters, cleaning supplies, hand/dish soap, and so much more! For a complete listing of what’s included with each rental, see the inventory noted on each vehicle’s individual listing.
All of our motorhomes use UNLEADED fuel ONLY
Propane must be refilled at a propane filling station. The motorhomes have onboard, permanently mounted tanks that cannot be removed. The Adventure Guide which you receive at Pick-up lists several locations locally for refill upon return.
It takes very little propane to operate our RVs. Propane is used to operate the furnace, stove top, oven, and hot water heater. The refrigerator is able to automatically toggle between electric and propane, depending on whether or not the unit is plugged in/running on generator. During summer-time operation when the furnace is not being run, a single tank of propane is likely sufficient for a nearly month-long rental. During the winter, two weeks on one tank is still likely.
All appliances other than the roof-top air conditioner and microwave will work off the coach batteries and do not require the generator or campground power. The household outlets in the coach will only work when on generator/campground power UNLESS the unit is equipped with an inverter. See amenity list for each vehicle for details.
This really depends on the weather and your personal comfort preferences. If it is extremely hot, you may want to run the generator while driving so that you can run the roof-top A/C and cool the coach. Otherwise, the only other times you might need the generator is to run the microwave while on the road. If you have electricity at your campground, there would be no further need for the generator. If your campground does NOT have electricity, then it’s a matter of how much you need A/C / microwave / usage of household outlets. We do NOT recommend running the generator while sleeping, and also please keep in mind that most campgrounds have generator quiet hours.
Yes. Please note, that the generator will only function when the RV has at least 1/3 tank of fuel.
Festivals and tailgates are approved on a per-reservation basis. Certain festivals, such as Burning Man, Rednecks with Paychecks, etc. are prohibited. Please indicate in your reservation your destination or chat with us/call ahead of time to inquire.
This can possibly be approved on a per-reservation basis. Please reach out to discuss your itinerary and desired destination(s).
On driveable units, 100 miles per night is included. Additional mileage is $0.45/mile. On towable units, mileage is unlimited.
The RV will be made ready with approximately 1/3 tank of fresh water. This is enough to serve you on the road without adding too much weight.
We maintain our fleet with the greatest attention to quality, but should there be an accident or breakdown, Emergency Roadside Assistance is available as an Addon to your reservation. Rather than baking this cost into every reservation, we keep our base price low and allow you to decide whether or not 24/7 roadside assistance is a feature you would like to include with your rental.
Yes. All rentals are covered by insurance provided through MBA, featuring $1,000,000 of liability coverage and a $1500 deductible. We do NOT accept insurance binders from your personal insurance provider.
Insurance coverage does not cover interior damage caused by anything other than an accident (e.g., damage to furnishings caused by a pet or child). Optional Interior Damage Protection is available to purchase as an Addon to provide $1500 of coverage for Interior Damages. Personal belongings are not covered by any policy, and Great Adventures RVs is not liable for any of your personal belongings while you are renting one of our RVs. We recommend you secure your valuables or leave them at home.
The interior of the RV must be returned in the same condition you received it, which is always very clean! We will take care of cleaning the exterior. If the interior is not clean, an excess cleaning fee will apply (see the Terms and Conditions of your specific rental contract).
The renter and primary driver must be 25 years of age with a valid US driver’s license.
Our motorhomes are equipped with TxTags which will track tolls. We will check your toll usage on the morning of your return and deduct from your security deposit. Should additional toll charges come in AFTER your return, those tolls will be charged separately, plus an administrative fee for each invoice received (see Terms and Conditions of your rental agreement for more details).
The only thing permitted to be attached to an RV’s hitch receiver is a bike rack. Unfortunately, towing of vehicles or trailers is not permitted.
